a)    Shooting

This week, we tried making a short stop motion video based on the two videos given by Mr. Martin.

Video 1 : Cost of The Call

Video 2 : Adopt Don't Shop

Our group consisted of 5 people. Me, Aliah and Velicia worked on shooting using phone while Xiao Qing and Ga Wai shot using the camera.

4    FINAL PROJECT

For our final project, we were required to make a short stop motion video. We can choose to do with a partner or on our own. I chose to do with my friend, Aliah.

a)    Proposal

b)    Process

Aliah and I divided our task equally. I started by arranging all pictures in the correct order. Then, I created a team project in Premiere Pro. I imported all pictures and edited the clips there.

Importing the first clip

Importing the other clips

Adjusting the timing of the pictures in the clips

Finished rearranging the pictures and clips

After I had done my part, I passed it to Aliah who had to combine all clips, insert the song and add the subtitles. Then, she uploaded it to Youtube.

c)    Final submission

5    REFLECTION

Experience :
At first, all I thought was how to make a simple but interesting video. Suddenly, I remembered a Pokemon dance video that went viral a short while ago. I looked it up and luckily, it was about a minute long. I asked my partner if we could do our stop motion video based on that Pokemon dance, and she agreed. I had fun doing this assignment as it was not that hard. Since I had a partner, our tasks were split equally which saved our time.

Observation :
This assignment started with a pratice shoot done in a group. We had to follow our references which were two videos from Youtube given by Mr. Martin. After that pratice, I became confident enough to do my own stop motion video using clay. It was a bit challenging as the clay could easily fall off, but we managed to finish the task anyway.

Finding :
We watched the reference video many times to get the perfect idea on how we're gonna do our video. Most of the movements were repetitive which made it easy for us. We did the shooting for about 2 hours and spent the rest of the week editing the video.
