2    WEEKLY PROGRESS

2.1    Exterior and interior

Week 10 (28/11/2024)

Based on the feedback from Mr Kannan last week, I made some adjustments with the exterior. I enlarged the wings, added an extra part below the storage area and lowered the head area. I also added more details on the legs.

Then, I started designing the interior part. I designed the cockpit and storage space in the back.

2.3    Exterior and interior improvements

Week 11 (05/12/2024)

I did a lot of changes for the exterior. I changed the wings to regular wing blades which fold in the abck when not in use. The cockpit was also moved to the front "head" part. The legs are more thicker and look stronger to lfit heavy weights.

I drew the control panel from a different angle and added more details such as screens and various buttons.  I also did a cleaner lineart for everything.

After that, I played around with the colour to see which colour suits the helicopter the best.

Feedback

The front window's shape should be changed a bit. The regular square windows look too boring. Give it another shape. Add some gaps on the connecting lines.

2.4    Exterior improvement and colour study

Week 12 (12/12/2024)

I made changes to the exterior. The front windows were change from square-ish to a rounder shape. I added some logo on the sides. The leg shape is more sturdier and I added an antenna to the back of the helicopter.

I also added the colours to the exterior and interior.

Feedback

The interior should have a different colour so that there's contrast. Choose a darker colour that works both as a contrast and matches the exterior.

2.5    Texture

Week 13 (19/12/2024)

After colouring the exterior and interior, I added some texture and shadings.

Feedback

Add some lines so that we can show how each piece fits on the helicopter. Add texture on the front windows too. Maybe some hexagon shapes like a honeycomb.

Make the part that has the shadow a bit more darker. Add hightights on certain shiny and sharp parts.

The bottom part of the helicopter should be darker as the light doesn't reach it. Add some light reflection on the front window. Put some wordings on the body too. Make sure to use suitable font and warp it so that it follows the shape of the body.
